On September 17, 2020, “The 13th China (Jiangsu) International Wind Energy Industry Development Summit” was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu. This event was jointly organized by the Jiangsu Renewable Energy Industries Association, along with the China Yangtze River Economic Belt Renewable Energy Equipment Manufacturing Industry Alliance and the Jiangsu Province New Power (New Energy) Equipment Cluster. The world-famous wind energy gearbox supplier, Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (NGC) was also invited to attend. At the awards ceremony naming “The Top 50 China Wind Energy Industry Enterprises in 2020” held at the same event, NGC once again received the honorary title of "Top 10 Outstanding Enterprise".
During this summit, Mr. Zhang Xianjiang, the Product Technology Research and Development Manager of NGC, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech entitled “NGC’s Marine High-Megawatt Wind Energy Main Gearbox–The Reliability Of Technology Research and Development”, which shared the experience of NGC’s R&D of its marine high-megawatt wind turbine gearbox technology together with its industry peers. In view of the complicated marine environment, NGC adopted a modular design structure for nearly 80,000 sets of gearboxes installed across the world, with over ten years of accumulated main gearbox development experience and a zero-leakage product DFMEA application database. It adopts a modular design idea, endowing the gearboxes with higher torque density and lighter weight, ensuring product safety and reliability while improving the electricity production within the fan lifecycle and reducing fan KWH cost.
